Growing up as a competitive dancer, Alex was always fascinated by the human body. To which she sought to understand not just the why but how it is we move our bodies. This ultimately led her to pursue a career as a physiotherapist. Alex graduated from the University of British Columbia with a Masters of Physical Therapy, after receiving a Bachelor of Human Kinetics.
Alex has completed multiple postgraduate clinical courses including her Orthopaedic Manual Therapy Level 1, Introductory Vestibular Rehab, and FHE anatomical neuropathic IMS needling. She is also a certified Pelvic Floor Physiotherapist.
On the days Alex is not at Revere, she also practices at an inpatient rehabilitation hospital. She continues to work with patients recovering from stroke, SCI, orthopaedic traumas, joint replacements, arthritis, chronic pain, amputations and more.
Alex utilizes a collaborative approach with personalized treatment plans based on the patients goals. She believes that those who actively participate in their recovery will see the most meaningful and efficient results. Alex will often use manual techniques in combination with corrective therapeutic exercises to allow patients to restore movement, enhance function, and return to their activities of daily living.

Laurence is actively involved with the Vancouver paddling community and has been coaching Olympic canoe and kayak at the False Creek Racing Canoe Club since 2012.
